Meet The Dakin Rehab Team
MT, Owner and Expert Therapist
Geoff is a Registered Massage Therapist in Calgary who has been working in the acute injury/chronic pain treatment and athletic training field since 1989. He has 7 years of college and university training as well as countless hours of post-graduate continuing education. In 1991/92 Geoff worked and travelled in the NHL as a member of the training staff of the Vancouver Canucks.
From 1989 until 2002 Geoff was a member of the Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia (MTA of BC) and registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMT of BC). From 2002 until the end of September 2011, he owned and operated a massage therapy practice in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico called Body Mechanics Rehabilitation. While there his patients included professional athletes, music industry icons and Hollywood celebrities.
In October 2011 Geoff and his family moved to Canada and he began his practice at the Britannia Bodywork and Wellness Centre in Calgary, Alberta. After spending more than six years developing a collaborative network of internationally renowned practitioners in Calgary, including Dr. Jeff Scholten (NUCCA) and Dr. Curtis Westersund (DDS), Geoff opened Dakin Rehab.
In terms of his manual therapy, Geoff is primarily a Neuromuscular Therapist. He has found Neuromuscular Therapy to be an effective system for decreasing chronic muscle shortening, trigger points and pain. However, even the very best hands-on therapy is of limited value if not combined with a system of exercise that re-educates joint positioning and overall postural alignment. When a corrective exercise program is properly designed for you and faithfully carried out every day, your muscle balance and function is restored, and pain is diminished or eliminated. Geoff prescribes each patient’s corrective exercise program based on a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s unique alignment and movement patterns. Exercises are then taught in-person and supported with video demonstrations. This is a very user-friendly way for patients to continue practicing their exercise prescription at home.
There are neuromuscular therapists and there are corrective exercise experts, but almost nobody uses these two approaches together. Geoff has created his own proprietary blend of these two approaches that he calls the Alignment First Protocol©. In 2016 Geoff published an Amazon bestselling book called The Body Mechanic’s Handbook, in which he describes how to use the Alignment First Protocol© to solve chronic pain problems at home.
After working throughout North America for over 28 years, Geoff believes that the Alignment First Protocol© is the most effective way to help patients train their bodies out of pain producing postures, for lasting relief from chronic pain problems.
Geoff’s primary goal is to eliminate your pain, and show you how, together, you can get your life back.

Expert Assessment Technician
Claudia is an assessment expert at Dakin Rehab who enjoys seeing how our work improves the lives of others.
In 2004 Claudia graduated from Escuela Tecnica De Capacitacion Para La Estetica Y Terapias Manuales Mashach, A.C., in Puebla, Mexico, with a diploma in manual therapy. A large portion of the training she received was in the school’s multidisciplinary teaching clinic, giving her exposure to a very wide variety of healthcare providers, health challenges and therapeutic strategies. Claudia went on to do an internship with the football team at Universidad de las Américas, also in Puebla. After her internship, Claudia moved to Los Cabos, where she worked in a spa environment for a few years.
Claudia married Geoff Dakin in 2007 and gave birth to their son Jack in 2011. Later that year Claudia, Geoff and Jack moved to Calgary.
In January 2017 Claudia trained to operate the Diers Medical Solutions 4D Formetric Scanner and Pedoscan and began working with Geoff at the clinic in Britannia. At that time, she also started teaching patients their exercise prescriptions. In November 2017 Claudia was the first person in North America to be trained in the use of the Diers Myoline muscle testing machine.
Shannon Wolfe started off as a patient and joined our Dakin Rehab team as the new Clinic Manager in our new location. She is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management in marketing (major).
Shannon brings over 11 years of customer service experience, marketing and sales which allow her to contribute to our rapidly growing clinic. Her previous role as project manager was to implement and support an online youth mental wellness program into schools which has fuelled her passion for people and pushed her to pursue her own photography business. She wants to always create the best experience for everyone and has made it her daily goal to make people around her smile and laugh. She brings compassion and enthusiasm to support patients through the process of becoming pain-free.
Chelsea Isenor is definitely “a people person”. She is never happier than when helping someone else, so working in the health and fitness world is a great fit for her. She obtained her Canadian Fitness Professional personal training certificate in 2014 and built up a personal training business in southwest Calgary until early 2018. She thrived helping clients reach their personal goals and realized early on that, as she likes to say, “you don’t have to be great to start but you must start to be great”.
The work Chelsea has done in the past made her interested in what we do here at Dakin Rehab. Since joining the team in August of 2018, she has seen proof of our success firsthand and now wishes all her old clients had access to our expertise. It’s hard not to wonder if the Alignment First Protocol might have been that one missing link that stood in the way of those clients achieving even greater success than they did.
Chelsea’s mission is to combine her knowledge and skills with the Alignment First Protocol© to help people who are struggling with pain to transform their lives. Of course, she has a soft spot in her heart for all her old clients, but she is now helping lots of new people to improve the quality of their lives.
In her free time, Chelsea loves to spend time with her son, Kenyonn. He is 9 years old and on the Autism Spectrum. He keeps her on her toes and there is never a dull moment with him. Learning and growing with every new challenge that comes her way, Chelsea’s patience and positive attitude make her a great team member and a perfect fit for us here at Dakin Rehab.
